Frequently asked questions
Do I get a discount for insuring a Brompton?
Yes, you get a 25%* discount when you insure your Brompton with Bikmo. This is automatically applied. *Minimum premium applies.
Can I insure another bike which is not a Brompton?
Yes, you can insure additional bikes from any discipline. You’ll also benefit from up to 50% multi-bike savings if you add more bikes to your policy.
How should I lock my Brompton?
Always lock your Brompton through the frame to an immovable object with a Sold Secure rated lock. Ensure the lock follows our locking requirements.
Locking requirements
How will you replace my Brompton if I make a claim?
If you make a claim and it’s approved, we’ll arrange your replacement directly with Brompton. If a replacement isn’t available, a cash settlement for the full cost of the Brompton will be sent to you.
Can I insure an electric Brompton?
Yes, we insure all types of electric bikes. This includes MTB, road, hybrid and Brompton Electric bikes, providing that the e-bike meets the requirements of the Road Traffic Act. You’ll also still benefit from the 25% discount we apply to Bromptons.
